Brewtal Beer Fest Returns Saturday, October 20th
For Release: June 27th, 2018 - PM Release
PITTSBURGH, PA - Brewtal Beer Fest has set the tone for craft beer enthusiasts and heavy metal lovers alike in the Pittsburgh region, delivering an event with something for everyone that showcases a plethora of breweries, metal bands, collaboration beers, and much more since it debuted in 2016. Brewtal will once again be taking center stage on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale for its third installment, featuring a lineup of 10 bands and over 30 breweries pouring high-quality beers throughout the day.
"Each year, we work to push the envelope in a new way and really try to see what we are personally capable of doing," Meg Evans, Brewtal Coordinator, Creator, and Head Brewer at Rock Bottom stated. "At the heart of our festival, we are a group of brewers and musicians putting our passion to work. We don't have a large company behind us making things happen. It's the people who make the beer you love and create the music you listen to organizing this event. and we do it because we fucking love it."
Brewtal Beer Fest 3 is headlined by Dying Fetus, an American death metal band from Upper Marlboro, Maryland that got its start in 1991. They've produced eight studio albums and nearly a dozen music videos. They'll be joined for a full day's worth of heart-pounding music by Incantation, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Black Tusk, Gate Creeper, Genocide Pact, Greywalker, Riparian, Plasmid, and No Reason to Live.
Participating breweries include Apis Mead & Winery, Bone Up Brewery, Burgh'ers, Dancing Gnome, Helltown Brewing, Kings Country Beer Collective, Neshaminy Creek Brewing, Penn Brewery, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Singlecut, Spoonwood Brewing, Strange Roots, and Weyerbacher.
One of the most appealing draws of Brewtal are the collaboration beers that take place between the breweries and bands. The collaborative effort exemplifies the parallels between these two dynamic industries while bringing to life a series of delicious, one- off beers that can only be experienced at the event. More information about this year's collaboration offerings will be announced soon.
"We've got killer heavy metal bands. We've got satiating craft beer from some of the best breweries. And so much more in store for this year. It's really the whole package at BBF," Meg added.
